Mr S T Bowers won reeve of the Municipality with a majority of 188. A W Nas trom was elected councilor for ward 3 with a majority. F Doering was elected councillor for Hillsburg with a majority. W Bennie was elected school trustee for Ward 3 Roblin school district with a majority of 26.

Church News Baptismal and Eucharist Schedule Noted

Rev Robert Harvey MA BD records baptismal service on the last Sunday each month and asks ministers to notify beforehand. A whist drive and a Cinderella dance are planned in the hall on Friday and Saturday under the Farmers Union. Mrs H M Davis visited Roblin last week with Mr and Mrs C Sneddan, returning Saturday morning. The WI will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday.

The Roblin district’s sister spent the weekend with them while Mr. Wells, recently back from a brief illness, shows signs of improvement. A lingering cold and an attack of plucriss kept him home briefly, but he is out again as mild weather returns.

Roblin locals report visits by Mrs S M Currey and family and Mrs Geo Spears. Evangeline Rebekah Lodge hosts a 500 Party on December 10 at LO OF Hall with 88 cents admission. A Grand Masquerade Carnival is planned for December 18 at the Roblin skating rink. A play titled Old Fashioned Mother will be staged by Ladies Aid on December 5 at LO.O.F Hall with 60 cents adults 60c and 36c children. The Hoblin Band Concert is December 12 in Assembly Hall with a postconcert dance. A benefit concert for the orphan home is planned December 19. The skating and curling rink opened midweek. fourteen rinks in play under Curling Club management with Mr Wm Cranwell as caretaker. Reminder to donate to Empty Stocking Fund at Mrs W J Westwood’s home.
