Province reports 9.9 million surplus for 1999 2000
Manitoba finance minister Greg Selinger announced a preliminary 1999 2000 surplus of 9.9 million driven by stronger own source revenues and lower debt costs. The report notes higher expenditures, especially in health care and agriculture, but credits improved transfers and revenues for the net gain.
