Local and General Mr and Mrs Warkentin and family and Mr and Mrs Stinson have returned to town. The Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the home of Mrs Crawley on Wednesday afternoon Aug 24. Harvesting throughout the district is progressing favorably and a few threshing outfits started work on Tuesday. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Canadian Legion thank all those who donated flowers for the memorial service. Dr K B McLaughlin and family left for Winnipeg to reside. The Thursday half holiday in town has been discontinued for this year. Jack Felton at Winnipeg summer school is spending holiday with his parents. The Silvert and Kulberg families left for Winnipeg to attend Miss Esther Kulberg's wedding. Mr and Mrs A K Stratton and family and Miss Robinson camping at Jack Fish Lake returned home. Death of Harry Deal Great War Veteran
Harry Deal aged thirty nine died at his residence after years of ill health following his discharge from service in World War I. Born January Witch 1893 in Praise Kentucky, he came to the district about twenty years ago from Roblin he served overseas in the 8th Battalion. A former Grainfield farmer he moved to town for medical care and remained active in the local Legion. He leaves a widow and three children. Funeral by the Legion from United Church Friday 19th at 2 p.m. Interment Roblin cemetery

International Peace Dedication Draws Large Crowd
