Manitoba health care workers approve wage and equity deal
About 2500 health care facility support workers ratified a new contract with Manitoba Government Employees' Union gains in wages and benefits. The agreement ends a two per cent first year rollback, with increases of three, two, and two percent in subsequent years and a faster pay equity phasing introducing average 2.4 percent boosts for eligible workers. Weekend and evening premiums rise as part of the deal.
