Due to the editor's illness the Review will not publish in August and will resume on September 11. The office will operate for job printing only during the hiatus, and readers are asked to bear with the temporary disruption.
A detailed prize list from the Sheil River Fair records success across livestock, poultry, roots and vegetables, dairy products, and domestic arts. Winners include J. A. Ross and Wm Leflar in livestock divisions, numerous entries in poultry and produce led by Mrs. Arnott and J. Arnott, with wide showing across apples, berries, jams, and cut flowers.
The Roblin Chub traveled to Rosetown Saskatchewan for a two day tournament and returned as winners with the top prize of 1200 dollars. They beat Indian Head 12 to 5 in the first game and defeated the Florida Cubans 14 to 10 in the final. Lee Fisher earned the win on the mound with Pigg catching.
Four Manitoba and Saskatchewan clubs attended the 4-H Rally at Togo, showcasing banners displays and judging. Sonja Van Drecht of Makaroff Garden Club won the Grand Aggregate and Ophelia Ochitwa of Norquay Garden Club took the Reserve Aggregate.
Mrs Irene Gleiser R N Superintendent of Roblin District Hospital enjoys a holiday at Great Falls Manitoba accompanied by her son Richard. Miss Mabel Ayer R N acts as superintendent. Visitors include Miss J Allan RN in Yorkton with Mr and Mrs H Branisky and Miss Emily Branisky. Miss Helen Kryworuchka returns from holidays at Kamsack and Roblin. Miss Helen Hamnishawski visits Rivers with Edward Hamnishawski. Mr William Cox on holiday with a Brandon visit.

Cradle Roll lists numerous July and August newborns from families including Thiessen Don aldson Batley Contors Bencyk Rozenuk and more with names Isaac James Mary Anne Ronald Larry Russell Patrick Alexander Beverley Gregory Gerald Rhonda and William. The Hospital Aid reports a July 30 Tag Day at the Fair raising 37.85 and thanks donors and tag sellers.
The Financial Post urges reopening the U S market for cattle and meat after an embargo. It notes a $150 million annual export trade, ongoing subsidies from Ottawa, and warns consumers about price impacts should the embargo lift. Also mentions Mr and Mrs Lawrence Merrell of Montreal visiting Tummell.
