Deepdale area visitors Mrs Ray Fisher and family from Dauphin joined Mr and Mrs Fred Wark and others including P Beerman E McIntyre C McKenzie and W Doring on a Wednesday motor trip to Russell Dropmore and Gilbert Plains for a school inspection tour. The Ladies Aid met at Mrs G Charman’s home on Thursday April 12 with nine members present and decided to discontinue the May meeting.
Sorry to hear Mrs. E. Sanders is ill and remains at her parents home. The district hosts visits from Edmonton guests the Poyser and Fowler families. April 26 Shell River Women's Institute meeting moved to Mrs. Cameron's home. Hassler and Steffler families host Bauer visitors. E. Sanders arrives from Ontario to visit relatives.
Cromarty records celebrate Mr J Nott turning ninety on Sunday April 15. Mr J McCarthy visits at the home of Mr and Mrs Don Davis. Miss Pearl Tucker attended the Anglican Junior W A festival at Brandon last week. Mr and Mrs L Adams of Grandview were guests of Mr and Mrs Fred McDuffe on Monday.
The Annual Meeting of the Pilin and District Cemetery Committee will be held on Friday April 7 at 8 00 p m in the Town Office. All interested are urged to attend.
The Lutheran Ladies Ald invite all to a Home Cooking and Bake Sale at Adam Andres’ Store Lesack’s on Saturday from 3 p m to 5 p m. May 15 indicates 15 to 17 cents price range for items.
An auction of mules held north and 12 miles west of Wroxton on Monday April 30 beginning at 1 p m Pete Barabash owner and J F Wagner auctioneer. The notice lists the sale location and attendees.
