Flame thrower used by Allies in 1940s war trials exhibit
The flame thrower first saw Nazi use to assault Belgian forts in 1940 and was developed by United States, British, and Canadian forces. Experiments improved range and effectiveness, leading to carrier-mounted systems used after D-Day against German positions and in canal clearances in Belgium and Holland. It will be exhibited at Roblin on Saturday April 21.
