John J Arick age 76 died Saturday at 4 00 PM at his home three and one half miles southeast of Roanoke Indiana in Jackson township. He was born March 10 1846 in Jackson township and was a lifelong resident. Surviving are his widow two daughters Mrs Izora Logan Fort Wayne and Mrs Leola Ervin Huntington five sons Charles Jacob John W Silas all Fort Wayne and Ernest Kenosha Wis four sisters Mrs Margaret Settlemyre Roanoke Mrs Samantha Caley Mt Etna Mrs Mary Meadow Ossian and Mrs Marinda Settlemyre Roanoke He was a member of the local Odd Fellows lodge Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 30 PM at the M E church with Rev C Emery Smith in charge Interment followed in the I O O F cemetery with the Odd Fellows lodge at the grave
