The VFW and its auxiliary will sell red poppies Saturday on streets and in stores. Proceeds aid WWI and WWII veterans and their families, funding emergency relief, rehabilitation, burial costs, and service programs.

He graduated from joke Rapids High School and entered the Navy in November. In Buckner Bay Okinawa he earned a unit citation for rescue work during a tornado. He expects discharge and return home in June.

German Hudson Returns Home
Captain Herman Murrell Hudson Jr has returned home from the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations. He spent the last 12 months stationed on Okinawa and served with the 10th Army before handling Ordinance equipment for the 27th and 96th divisions prior to movement to Japan. Howell On Bond For Assault On An Officer
