State Revenue field force sets two million sales tax goal
Sixty-odd field workers from the North Carolina Department of Revenue left after a three day school to pursue $2,000,000 in sales tax in the next two months. They carry merchant licenses lists and will pursue those who have not filed returns for March. Governor Ehringhaus urged them to collect the money to balance the budget and fund schools roads and services.
