Paved streets debate and summer forecasts in local notes
The piece recounts a Greensboro ad about National Baby Week and paving plans with six votes against. Mayor Jenkins notes costs equal to current dust cleanups. It blends local color with a weather prophesy from Old Diz using dogs Bozo and Diana. It ends with a humorous tale of a baserun and a baptism misadventure among spectators and an embarrassed coach’s wife.
