A Highway Safety Division report shows Halifax County connected to fourteen traffic fatalities in six months. statewide deaths reach 545, up 50 percent from 1940. Wake Cumberland Mecklenburg Guilford and others report high counts. June deaths total 94, a 50 percent rise from last June.
