Lions Festival Here August 7 14 in Roanoke Rapids
The Lions Club of Roanoke Rapids announces its annual festival from August 7 to 14 with a larger week planned. A grand prize will be awarded on the final night along with regular nightly awards. Ticket sales follow prior methods and a Queen contest under Mrs Edwin Akers is open to entrants. Crescent Amusement Company will host midway rides bingo shows and other entertainment from 6 30 pm to 11 30 pm at the old ball park near the Junction. Proceeds support club projects including the Prevention of Blindness.
