Rosemary Bank Elects Officers At Annual Meeting
The Rosemary Banking and Trust Company held its regular stockholders and directors meeting last week. Officers elected: T. W. Mullen president, Dr FG Jarman vice president, George Carmichael cashier, C W White assistant cashier. The bank earned about 8 percent on capital stock. instead of a dividend, directors added a thousand dollars to the surplus. Deposits rose and a prosperous year is anticipated. Fidelis Class met at Rosa Harrison's home last Tuesday night with officers elected and groups led by several members including Miss Cora Brantley, Miss Fannie Hazlewood, Miss Mary Stanley, Miss Rosa Harrison, and others.

A Federal Census Bureau bulletin shows reduced death rates since 1900 for tuberculosis pneumonia diarrhoeal diseases diphtheria and typhoid fever. Tuberculosis fell from 200.7 to 146.8 per 100 000 between 1904 and 1914 and diphtheria dropped from 44.3 to 17.9 per 100 000 in the same period. Improved health laws fresh air rest clean water sewer systems and sanitary campaigns against flies are credited.
