Roanoke Rapids Man Loses Mother and Grandfather
A Roanoke Rapids man loses his mother and grandfather in a Bertie County storm that wrecked two farms. His father, a brother, a sister and her three children were injured but expected to recover. The 95 year old grandfather died from shock after being thrown from a chair. Mrs. Mary F Mizelle died in Windsor Hospital. The storm damaged homes, barns and fruit trees along a three mile path.
