Dooley Testifies in Roanoke Rapids Strike Hearing
In a 1934 Roanoke Rapids hearing, Dooley testified under oath after Admiral Wiley urged him to speak. He claimed he organized for the administration while noting workers faced unlawful picketing and that some pickets were from within the mills. Also recounted were accusations that government aid would arrive and later did not, with Dooley denying the charges.
