Frank D. Wilson was chosen to fill the unexpired term of Alfred N. Martin on the City School Board. Dr Bahnson Weathes and F. W. Eubank were selected for unexpired terms of Towe and Tillery. Current board includes Mullen, Cannon, Allbrook, Chase, Mannini, Long, and the three appointees Weathers, Eubank and Wilson. W. T. Wright recently returned home after hospital stay on Jackson Street.
Prank Pittman of Buies Creek says the team is better than the best ever produced by his alma mater. Jack Young of Vassar has urged volunteers for his Vepco wrestling team.

Rev J N Bynum praised Roanoke Rapids for fully meeting Christmas needs through the Associated Charities effort. Forty nine families and over 150 people benefited as schools and clubs contributed food money and gifts totaling 186 05 dollars.
