Deaths Earnest Underwood Dies in Asheville Sanitarium

Earnest Underwood aged 24 died after a lingering tuberculosis illness in an Asheville sanitarium Friday. He previously lived in Roanoke Rapids several years before moving to Asheville three years ago and recently returned here ill. Survived by a devoted wife. Funeral and interment were held Wednesday at 10, conducted by Rev. Stanley White.

Moose to Fit Up Quarters as Lodge Club Room

The Loyal Order of Moose rents the hall over the garage and will fit it up as a combined club and lodge room. Magazines and newspapers will be on file with games provided. A temporary home for lodge members and friends will be created, with the house opened every night.

Presbyterian Church Announces Services and Conference Details

The Presbyterian Church lists Rev. First Christian Church Raleigh Adopts Unified Service Plan

The First Christian Church of Raleigh, led by Minister L. Topping, reports Sunday sermons at ten and seven, Sunday school at eleven, and a growing attendance. Elders and Deacons met with A. R. Baird. over 3500 dollars have been raised for the building fund this month, bringing membership to 402. Christmas Eve services and a public tree program invite giving.
