Gene Autrey Says Yes at Carolina Theatre Owners Meet
The Singing Cowboy Gene Autrey was guest of honor at a Theatre Owners' Association convention in Charlotte. Lyle M. Wilson of Roanoke Rapids was elected President for 1939 at the Roanoke Rapids event, and Wilson invited Autrey to visit Roanoke Rapids during an Eastbound tour with his horse. Autrey replied yes.
