East and West politics show uneven appointment balance
A Raleigh dispatch analyzes Governor Ehringhaus's 20 month record of 296 appointments split 164 westerners and 131 easterners. State-wide posts total 211 with 120 westerners and 91 easterners, while salaried offices favor the east 11 to 5. The piece notes population would suggest near 50-50. Local notes mention visits by York City residents and visitors from Courtland and New York City.
