Halifax County plans land use program to aid farmers
Halifax County moves into phase two of a land use plan aimed at boosting farmer cash income and promoting home living. The program, led by County Agent W. O. Davis, will classify soils, map land use, and gather records from about 1,100 farms to tailor recommendations. Educational meetings will be held in November across 32 neighborhoods to gather farmer problems and showcase demonstrations. James Magee of Oxford visits his parents I J and Mrs I J Magee.
