An all electric grain drier will be displayed in London in December. It is designed to occupy minimal hillside space and suit farmers with small acreages, while keeping electrical load on the farm system as low as possible and avoiding higher initial costs of larger drier ranges.

The University of Manitoba celebrates 75 years since its 1877 founding and its evolution from an examining body to an instructional university. Affiliated colleges retain private funding while Brandon College and St Boniface receive government grants. The 76th anniversary events began with a service at St John’s Cathedral and included a library cornerstone ceremony by Vincent Massey and a convocation. The anniversary culminates in a 75th anniversary dance.

The bylaw authorizes the town of Rivers and Daly to hire a qualified municipal physician under a May 2 1952 agreement. The vote by ratepayers is set for October 31 1952 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at six ward locations.
