A miscellaneous shower at the legion clubroom on Oct 17 honored Eleanor Baily, bride elect. An address by Mrs F Bridgeman preceded gifts carried in by five girls. The guest of honor received a satin comforter, sheets, and money. Representatives from area schools attended a high school dance in Kenton on Oct 15. William McKenzie and Donald Crawford visited Winnipeg last weekend. T Harper is a patient at Deer Lodge hospital. Bradwardine and Wheatland seed clubs attended Cardale seed fair Wednesday. Mildred Bridgeman Brandon spent the weekend at home.

WMS Planning Conference Here

Twelve members and two visitors attended the WMS meeting on Oct. 15. Two quilts were reported completed and a half day conference is planned for Nov. 4 at Rivers church. The study book topic Villages of Angola was presented by Mrs. B. J. D. Ellis, with assistance from Mesdames G Jebi M Kendall and Alfrea Wareham. Mrs. E. O. Dyer presided.

Masquerade Dance Planned at Legion Hall Next Friday

A masquerade dance is scheduled for Friday October 31 at the Legion hall. The event headline promises eerie themes with ghastly figures haunting the scene as guests dress in costumes and masks.
