A Daly Council special meeting was held with all members present. Reeve led readings of Bylaw 757 for Local Option in the Rural Municipality of Daly, with a resolution filed for Clerk and a vote slated for June 16. The meeting date was postponed from June 2 to June 16.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Parker express gratitude to friends for kindness shown during Mrs. Parker illness, noting appreciation for support and encouragement.
Oddfellows and Rebekahs celebrated the 109th founding anniversary with Divine Service at St James Church on Sunday evening. A large turnout from Rapid City attended as Bro C W Angel led a parade from the hall to the church. Rev Nash preached on charity and love with choir anthem Abide With Me. Refreshments were served by the Rebekahs, and thanks were extended to Rev Nash and the St James choir.
The Gazette extends greetings to Doris Gunness and Madge Tucker on May 26 and 27 respectively. John McLean of Wheatland, J H Forman, J H Barker, Mrs J Bartlett of Winnipeg, George W Frame, A E Hedberg, Mary McLean of Wheatland, Dr G R D Lyon, and Mrs J Warren all have May birthdays noted with best wishes.

W. G. Wilkes announces a piano recital by his pupils on Wednesday in June at 8 o clock. Mrs. J. Switzer, elocutionist, assists. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
The Winnipeg Tribune queried public leaders on selling Seven Sisters Falls to private interests. J W Seater Reeve of Daly urges legislative judgment before any transfer. R N Dunsmore Mayor of Rivers objects to private ownership and calls for delay until the legislature decides.
Notice announces the passing of Early Closing ByLaw No. 232 requiring stores to close at 12 noon on Thursdays during May through September and stay closed until the next business day. The public is urged to govern themselves accordingly.
Last Friday Rapid City voters approved local beer sales by 130 for and 53 against. Provincial election results showed 115 yes 168 no on extensions of facilities. 146 for glass 174 for bottle. 164 yes 105 no to abolish brewers rights. Memorial committee meets at Mrs Stewart home proposing memorial entry to municipal hall with steps and a tablet listing local war dead.
