The Canadian Red Cross began wartime aid by sending weekly food parcels overseas to Empire and Allied forces, sustaining troops and civilians in need since the war's outset.
Parcels of paper should be tied and placed on the street for collection on Saturday March 10. Citizens may obtain heavy cord at local stores to secure their bundles. Cadets will assist in the pick up and local stores will provide cord and boxes of it for self service.

Mr and Mrs James Bromley returned home after Winnipeg visit with daughters Mia Wes Quinn and Mrs James Williams. Miss Bertha Richardson Bransdon visited grandparents Mr and Mrs T Nevill.
An Old-Time Dance at Frame's Community Hall organized by Rivers Masonic Lodge on Friday March 9 features Thos. McMannis and his Orchestra. Net proceeds go to the local Red Cross for overseas comforts. Admission 35c.
