Daly Council Minutes from Wheatland June 18
The Daly council met at Wheatland on June 18 with full attendance. The solicitor Mr Coldwell advised closing a 9 1120 road, laid out 20 years ago for a Kemnay road but now unused, to be studied by Councillor Chapman. A deputation from ratepayers requested a Red Cross grant. debates cited higher current-year taxes of 4100 provincial levy and crop failures. The council asked for written requests. ratepayers later moved to grant 4500 to the Red Cross for 1913, a resolution supported by multiple ward signatories. Councillor Cluff urged ratepayer consultation before any large grant.
