Also reported are Isbister scholarship to Glenn B McConkey, two marriages, and birth announcements Joynt Mawer. Isaiah 66 1 quote closes the item.
The wedding of Miss Lillian Thomson, third daughter of the late Mrs. Thomson, and Walter A Maskell, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W Maskell Alexandar, was held at The Cochrane home. Rev H E Nordlund officiated. The bride wore satin and marquisette with beaded heart coronet and carried yellow and pink gladiolus. Matron of honor was Mrs S Cochrane with best man R S Cochrane. The couple planned a honeymoon at Clear Lake and will reside in Brandon.
A wedding occurred on June 19 at Rivers United Church as Margaret Annie Wareham daughter of Mr and Mrs George Wareham wed William B Nesplak son of Mrs Nesplak and the late H Nesplak of Norman The ceremony was led by Reverend F W Lee.
Bail set at 10000 for Clifford Lapierre 25 charged with armed robbery after Monday holdup of the Grandview Bank of Nova Scotia Vancouver. Remanded for a week for hearing.
