Obituary for Mrs T McKellar Catherine Ann

Mrs T McKellar Catherine Ann aged 64 died Thursday June 18 after a long residence in the Rivers district. Born May 1 1872 at Glengarry Ontario she lived in Bathgate North Dakota and Hamiota Manitoba before marrying Thomas McKellar in 1892. Funeral 2 30 PM Friday at Rivers cemetery conducted by Rev W W Harland with Brockles Brandon handling arrangements. Survived by husband two daughters Mrs P J Gordon Marsden Sask and Alice. three sons John Choiceland Sask Russell Archie. three sisters Mrs McLean Winnipeg Mrs McIntosh Bathgate ND Mrs McRea Vancouver and brother John Bethune Gravenhurst.

Rivers Players Shine in Zone Tennis Meet at Neepawa

Rivers Community Club sent Helen Lindsay and Doug Morrow to win four of five events in Neepawa zone games last Thursday. J. J. Morrow teamed with Misa Termuende in Mixed and with Miss Termunende in Ladies doubles while G. M. Setter and J. J. Morrow led the Men's doubles. Neepawa hosted and entertained the Rivers team, with a return 3-2 win by Neepawa in Rivers on Tuesday.

Manitoba Exhibition to honor the Dionne Quints with guest-free entry

The Manitoba Provincial Exhibition plans June 29 to July 3 tribute to Canada's five Dionne Quints. Twins and triplets attending Brandon Fair will receive free admission to the main gate, one grandstand performance, and five shows. Birth certificates may be required at the gate. Electors Roll of Rivers Deposited for Public Inspection

The Electors Roll of the Town of Rivers is deposited in the Clerk’s drive and remains open to inspection until July 15, 1936. Complaints must be lodged in the Clerk’s office ten days before the Council holds a Court of Revision on August 26, 1936 at 7:30 PM in the Council Chamber to hear all duly lodged complaints.
