Chaplain T. W. Offen spoke on resurrection and heavenly life, urging hope over sorrow. The sisters then went to the cemetery to lay sprays and form a cross as hymns were sung, marking the event as an annual rite.

Rivers Council Minutes Report June Meeting
The Rivers Town Council met Wednesday evening with Mayor Sinclair presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Resolutions authorized payments of 861.87 for general accounts and 329.67 for electric light. A committee was to seek best price from Wareham Bros. for road materials, with purchase authority subject to bylaw ratification by ratepayers. The council adjourned.
