Westwood Gibbons wed at St Jude's Anglican Church

Kathleen Gibbons of Cardale Man married Oscar Westwood of Rivers Man at St Jude's Anglican Church January 26. Rev Nelson Smith officiated with attendants Mr and Mrs Ivan Mills. Bradwardine Women Workers Send 364 Items in a Year

The Bradwardine women workers group along with Bradwardine and Lothair Red Cross society submitted 364 items to headquarters over the past year. Among these, 305 were sewn, 40 knitted, 15 quilts and four blankets are noted.

Supreme Court awards damages over fatal police shooting

Ontario jury orders Toronto police constable George Victory Joyce to pay 4259 damages to Mr and Mrs Alan Robertson for the shooting of their 14 year old son Donald on July 30 1946. The boy died en route to hospital after the incident.
