Visitors and gatherings mark Winnipeg week in town

In Foun and Out R A Mills spent a few days in Winnipeg last week. Ab and Mrs T R Riddick Zhe Pas have been visiting here with Mr and Mrs R B Riddick. Mrs Bruce Perkins and Linda have returned to Hornepayne Ont after visiting with her parents. A credit union study group meets Thursday at 8 00 pm at H M Harvey’s home. About 20 people surprised Mr and Mrs George Brown East Kildonan for their 20th wedding anniversary. former Rivers Daly residents attended.

Twelve candidates pass home nursing course success

Twelve candidates in a St. John Ambulance home nursing course were successful in their examinations. The course, sponsored by the ladies auxiliary to the Canadian Legion and conducted by Nurse Mrs. E. The Minneapolis Tribune reports Dr. Frank Gollan an assistant professor of physiology has for the first time isolated a poliomyelitis virus.
