Nominations for Rivers Town Council and Rivers Consolidated School District trustee post went quietly. Returning Officer C. H. Gabe announced results with Mayor Er. J. Forman and councillors Offen Frame and others re elected or replacing, while Ward 2 sees Nesbitt out and Wiegand in. Sparsely attended meeting featured short addresses from Mayor Forman and Councillors.

At St James Church in Fenelon Falls Ontario on Monday the marriage of Meta Moffat eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert Moffat Fenelon and Captain Clifford Tivy third son of the late Mr Robert Bury Tivy Galway Ireland was solemnized About one hundred and fifty guests attended The couple left by the five o clock train for a short honeymoon and will reside at Fenelon Falls The bride’s family noted the gifts and links Clifford is remembered here for railway work and is brother to Norman Tivy.
