Boys and Girls' Fair Meeting at the School

Well Known Citizen Dies In Coal Yard Accident
W. A. Poston known as Dad, 74, dies in Rivers coal yard accident when he tripped on a chain and fell. He was a pioneer barber and town figure, with several children surviv ing. Funeral set for Rivers Cemetery with local Lodge 100 F. in charge.

Baseball Club Organized at Town Hall Meeting
At an April 12 meeting in the Town Hall the club elected Hon. President J McKenzie and President G Barefoot. Officers include Vice President J Charron Sec Treas P W Neville Manager P F Thompson Captain Lorne Buggey. Two teams will join Lansdowne League. P F Thompson donated two baseballs for a benefit at the theatre. The cup from last season will be returned to the league after inscribing the club on it. A follow up meeting will occur after the league officers conference.

Final Whist Drive Season Ends at Sons of England Hall
A Friday evening final whist drive in Sons of England Hall drew a good turnout. The season proved very successful with congratulations due to the managing committee.
