Dyer secretary treasurer of the Municipality of Daly notes his birth in Cornwall on St Valentine 1855 his London police service 1877 1881 and emigration to Canada He later served as councillor post office operator and in 1896 was named treasurer and secretary treasurer at Daly now entering his eightieth year with faith and hope.

Mrs C J Bartlett left to join Mr Bartlett at Pleasant Point where he is operator. Bruce Butler lost a finger operating a circular saw. The Community Club began work on its tennis courts. A large number of farmers are already on the land. E D Button opened the Gem moving picture theatre on Main Street. The town has only one resident minister though three denominational services are held each Sunday.
