Mrs. H. H. Nesbitt Dies at Home in Rivers
Mary Nesbitt aged 77 wife of Henry H. Nesbitt died at his Rivers home Thursday morning after a long illness. Born Mary Hedley she was twice married with a daughter who predeceased her and an earlier husband J Duff. She had spent most of her life in the Oak River district and recently lived with Nesbitt on Third Street.

Canada's No 1 citizen Mrs Thomas Brown died last Thursday morning at her Bradwardine home aged 106. Born in the era of slavery she recalled the days of the Duke of Wellington Abraham Lincoln and Charles Dickens and spoke of Queen Victoria and the advent of telegraphy and electricity.

Mrs Brown 106 Year Old Scottish Immigrant Honored
Daly mourns Mrs. Thomas (Granny) Brown aged 106 who died March 27 after weeks of illness. Born in Scotland in 1841, she moved to Canada, settled in Oak River, later Bradwardine, known for Scottish hospitality. Survived by sons David and Thomas. Funeral held Saturday at Oak River cemetery.
