Rivers Stationette Reopens With Shelter and Ceremony
Via Rail moved a nine by twelve foot shed from Brandon North to Rivers, restoring passenger shelter after years of waiting in cars. The Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Sept 9, noting improved safety, a new CN donated border, and future heritage enhancements while detailing revised Via schedules and community support.
