ACWW Canada Area Conference Held in Winnipeg
The national conference in Winnipeg on Sept 18 and 19 hosted by Manitoba Women's Institute featured ACWW world president Dato Ursula Goh and Canada area president Margaret Yetman with FWIC president Sheila Needham. Delegates from every province attended, with talks on the 2007 Turku triennial project aiding tsunami orphans in India and water projects in Africa. Special guests included Manitoba leaders Rosann Wowchuk and Dori Gingera-Beauchemin, plus museum speaker Yude Henteleff. tours and dedications followed, including a $5,000 donation for the MWI picnic nook and fountain restoration.
