Amalgamation to Shape Mid West Weed District Plan
The Mid west Weed District anticipates a 10 percent cut to the spray program after municipal amalgamation. Alternative weed control methods will be adopted, with labour intensive approaches like mowing and digging retained when effective. Roy Greer and I recall manual Kochia control along Hwy 250 to the Cardale line, highlighting past practices. A town meeting on Nov 7 in Hamiota will present yearly work and address questions.
