Rivers fundraising push for Riverdale Centre proceeds to finish
The Rivers Recreation Facilities Review Committee reports $261000 remaining to hit a $1.72 million goal for Riverdale Community Centre. A series of events including a golf tournament donation by the Gators and a July fundraising social are planned. A week long hockey camp by Derek Laxdal raises proceeds, with volunteers running the rink canteen. A New Year Eve centennial kickoff and donor reception May 30 are part of efforts to complete the hall and kitchen.
