Rivers WI Think Tank Maps Future City Needs
Rivers Women’s Institute members met March 9 in the Civic Centre to discuss community priorities. They list improvements from hospital renovations and new industry to water quality, a multipurpose arena, a larger hall, curling rink, walking track, fitness centre, farmer’s market revival, a bowling alley, motel, and rail station refurbishment with crafts promotion. They advocate Community Development Corporation involvement, grant searches, lobbying, fundraising, and better council communication.
