Rolling River School Board approves budgets and bylaw reading

The Rolling River School Division board approved the general expenditure budget of 18 972 320 and the special requirement budget of 7 923 427. A debenture bylaw received first reading. An Ontario trustee urged a 100 percent GST rebate for school boards and a letter to the local MP and federal finance minister was endorsed. Trustee Dan Mazier flagged teacher shortages for extracurriculars, especially in small schools, with senior administration to report on practices and community volunteers at two future meetings.
