Tri-Town Peewees Reach Provincials and Consolation Crown
The Tri-Town peewee hockey squad from Cardale Oak River and Rivers joined Hamiota and Strathclair, qualifying for provincials in Hamiota March 9 11 after a rough season. They beat Boissevain Hartney 3 2 and Oakville 5 4, lost 3 2 to Shoal Lake Birtle Rossburn, then captured bronze by defeating Manitou Somerset 8 1. They also won the Parkissimo League consolation title over Dauphin Blues in a best of three.
