Taylor's Transfer renamed to Taylor & Son Limited in 1947
On March 1 1947 Taylor's Transfer became Taylor & Son Limited and announced purchase of four lots at Second Avenue and Columbia Street to build a one storey 50 by 100 foot garage opposite Memorial Park. A Trail Ranger group Rivers Sky Pilots formed with Leslie Taylor as chief ranger. Ottawa airfield Riv ers base reopening filled several positions within 24 hours. 100 jobs still available. Birth notices include J McAllister girl on Feb 23 and several other families with birth dates in 1957 1967 1977 1987 1997 2007.
