Derby delights dads at third annual catch and release derby
Fathers and youngsters gathered June 19 at Lake Wahtopanah for the Rivers & Area Game & Fish Association event. Sixty adults and 18 youth participated, with 78 anglers releasing 40 fish including walleye pike rock bass and perch. Winners earned cash prizes for longest fish in each category. several sponsors provided prizes and a 50/50 draw added extra winnings. A youth prize rotation and random draws complemented a community barbecue served by Dave Falkevitch.
