Roberts meet long lost relatives in Rivers gathering
A 55 member Roberts family gathering occurred in Rivers on June 5 and 6 at St. James Anglican Church and the Roberts home to welcome Martha Roberts kin from England. After 20 years of searching sparked by a Web notice, four of Martha’s relatives arrived in Canada on May 29. The reunion connected George and Sarah Roberts’ Canadian descendants with England’s Doodson and Smythe lines, promising ongoing contact with extended relatives across Canada and the UK.
