Rivers Collegiate ends athletics season with provincial medals
Rivers Collegiate reports a positive finish to the athletic program as three teams reached provincial championships. Girls fastball lost to Steinbach 1 0 and Westmount 5 1 before a 9 0 defeat by Vincent Massey, with players earning silver and bronze medals. Track saw nine athletes compete with Tara Common earning silver and bronze, Carson Smith bronze, and junior relays placing in the top eight. Weather caused postponements in junior high baseball. the season ends with praise for athletes and staff.
