Road trips fuel South West Baseball League teams
Rivers Comets along with Oak River Dodgers and Hamiota Red Sox used road trips to build team cohesion. The Comets opened with a 10-9 loss, then edged the Young Guns 13-12 after a seven-run seventh inning on May 27. They later blanked Souris Cardinals 6-0 on May 30, with Fred Hrycak earning the save.
