Oak River Inn to close after owners move to Saskatchewan

Darrel and Emily Barr will close Oak River Inn on November 3 2000 after relocating from Saskatchewan to renovate the Blanchard Hotel and rename it. They cite high taxes and lack of local support as reasons and say hotel rooms remain available while they seek new uses.
