Rivers Fair Draws Big Crowds Amid Weekend Festivities
The Rivers Banner reports a July 8 pancake breakfast drawing nearly 400 attendees, a parade with decorated bikes, a petting zoo opened at 10 a.m. by John Wilson and Darlene Hunter, and events like a Mutt Show and a Kennel Club drill. Beef Pit BBQ fed hundreds, with cattle and horse displays throughout the day. Future renovations at Rivers Collegate Cafeteria are noted, including a larger facility and upgraded equipment.
