Rivers centennial meeting plans face low turnout in 2013 prep
A February 16 Rivers centennial planning meeting drew eight attendees including chairman Dave Oakey and secretary Shelley Foster. Discussions covered a simplified logo, potential fly-past with the Snowbirds, aircraft display with the Commonwealth Air Training Museum, an audio recording of Wagar Hall show from 2004, and a centennial song prize plus painting contest. Other topics included historical research, a cancellation stamp with Canada Post, and calls for community sponsors for street activities ahead of the March 13 meeting.
